Flexion Distraction Treatment

Degenerative disc disease, stenosis,  disc herniations, and arthritis, spine pain, are the result of injury and/or postural issues. These can cause compression of the spine and lead to degeneration/arthritis. Over time, ligaments become tight and rigid, the disc may deteriorate, and arthritis can cause immobility and nerve compression.

Flexion distraction works by decompressing facet joints, discs, and vertebral foramen (where the nerve exits), by slowly and painlessly gapping the joints. As the patient lies face down, the motorized table will bend from the waist down towards the floor a few inches. This treatment has been shown improve spine mobility, reduce spine pain, decrease the pressure on the discs, and stretch deep spinal muscles.
